Why is the sky blue?

Why is the sky blue?

Earth’s atmosphere is made of a huge blanket of air molecules. When light enters the atmosphere, it collides wih the air molecules in the air. The blue part of light from the sun get scattered more than the other colours during these collisions and thus makes the sky appear to our eyes as blue! Simple!
